Brilliant Butler fires North Camp to opening day delight with quality quadruple

North Camp were keen to show they had regained their bite after a disappointing 1-1 draw with Cobras a few weeks ago and they went about it in fine fashion.

The early stages were very cagey with neither side able to wrestle control of preceding. The scrappy start to the game was reflected in the first goal. Big Joe hoofing the ball forward and finding Butler who managed to slither the ball under the Cobras keeper, rumour has it the ball is still travelling towards the goal it was going that slowly. However, this was the boost NC needed and Butler was soon at the double making it 2-0 after some great work from Steve. NC went into half time 2-0 to the good.

NC started the second half on the same ssssssinterlating form with Dan turning provider this time with a great cross and Butler once again finishing like prime Batistuta.

Then horror struck, a venomous strike from a Cobras free kick made it 3-1. However, any fear was quelled when the Norse God sexy Steve made it 4-1 after a great ball from Nathan. North Camp put the game beyond any doubt when Butler was forced to return back to the action (following a very one sided shouting match between Gurney and Pikey) and minutes later he had scored his 4th.

A fantastic performance from the boys who now can look forward to the cup final this Sunday. Big shoutout to Joe and Ben at the back who were in imperious form, but MOTM goes to Butler for his fantastic quadruple.
